Grounding & Bonding Course
The objective of this course is to allow trainees to learn and apply the necessary skills needed to establish a safe equal potential work safety zone when working on overhead structures. A combination of classroom lecture and optional field performance outcomes are used to develop and measure trainee knowledge and skill for overhead grounding operations. The course also aligns all employees on the key points directly related to company policies and work procedures.


Insulate & Isolate Training Course
The Insulate and Isolate (I&I) Technique for the Live Line Tool Method on Distribution Lines requires an effective use of I&I equipment and procedures to provide the necessary level of safety when performing live line work on energized lines and equipment.​
Advanced Rigging Certification Course
This course is designed to teach the student about the tensions associated with common rigging used on the job site. The proper application of knots and the effects that knots have on ropes are discussed in detail. In addition, students will learn about the mechanical advantage gained with parted blocks, tensions with snatch blocks, and safety when working around mechanical equipment. A full review is provided discussing OSHA standards and inspection requirements related to safe lifting and rigging operations. Class includes a learning session on weights, forces, and tensions found on a utility system and teaches the learner how to make those calculations in the field using several methods.​


OSHA 10 ET&D Certification Course
The Electrical Transmission and Distribution certification course is a non-traditional, industry specific training course tailored toward employees involved with the construction and maintenance of power transmission and distribution systems. Each module is tailored specially toward the power transmission and distribution industry. Although this course is based on the current OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards, the course material also discusses consensus standards, industry accepted best practices, the OSHA Focus 4 topics in addition to equal-potential grounding and bonding, flame resistant clothing, electrical arc protection, and pre-job briefings. Students completing this course receive a traditional OSHA 10-Hour for Construction card marked with an ET&D Partnership designation.​
Powerline Safety Specialist Course
The Powerline Safety Specialist Course is a one-of-a-kind, immersive, week-long training program designed to educate safety professionals nationwide. Students build situational awareness, sharpen problem-solving skills, and develop the mindset needed to support their company’s safety culture.


OSHA 20 Safety Leadership Certification Course
The Electrical Transmission and Distribution Partnership developed the Safety Leadership in Action Training course (commonly referred to as the OSHA 20-Hour class) to provide education to supervisors within the electrical transmission and distribution industry on safety management skills. The course demonstrates how to affect a positive safety culture by addressing core elements of an effective safety and health management system. The target audience is the front-line supervisor i.e., general foreman, supervisor, foreman, lead person or any person designated with the responsibility to implement and manage a company’s safety and health program or system. The training is suitable for potential foremen and/or employees and employee representatives interested in improving safety and health in the workplace. The course uses scenarios, case studies, personal participation exercises, and discussion
topics to engage the attendee and assist them to understand the supervisor’s role in the areas of responsibility and accountability regarding managing safety.
Drone Academy
The Missouri Valley JATC Drone Academy is a 40-hour certification prep course featuring the DJI Mavic 4 Enterprise. Through hands-on training, students learn mission planning, safe drone operation, image and thermal scan capture, and real-world applications—gaining the knowledge and confidence needed to pass the FAA Part 107A exam.
